Celebrate Life SA is having a Women Empowerment breakfast on 24th February and our Guest Speaker is Judy Sandison, an award-winning broadcast journalist and editor.
Judy has worked as a reporter, news editor, digital editor and national news editor-in-chief – pioneering new News Services and transformation in the public broadcaster. She played a role in transforming SABC Radio news from a state to a public broadcaster in our young democracy.
She is a founder member and serves on the national Council of the SA National Editors’ Forum, which focuses on defending media freedom, and on projects to raise the quality of journalism in South Africa.
A gender activist, Judy has been a driving force in several women’s rights organiations over the years.
