A grim picture has been painted for several rhino species worldwide, with South Africa alone projected to lose close to a thousand rhinos by the end of this year. Poaching Suspect shot dead at Thula Thula

The big news in the past week on the anti-poaching front was the suspected poacher who was shot and killed at Thula Thula Private Game Reserve.

Four others were arrested.

A ranger was wounded during the shootout but he's doing well.

A 303 assault rifle was seized on the scene.
